I can't hear the other person on my iPhone.

On iPhone, turn the Ring/Silent switch off, then tap "Tap to turn on sound" in the session, since Safari often blocks audio until that tap. Use your phone's side buttons for volume, and tap Speaker to switch between the earpiece and speakerphone. Also check that Safari has microphone and camera access in your iPhone Settings.
